Handing the means of production to the audience

When an industry owns the means of production, its audience has no choice but to consume the materials produced by the industry if it wants to consume materials of that nature.

However, when the means of production is handed to the audience and the audience becomes able to produce materials of that nature by themselves, then the industry’s monopoly over that material is broken.

The computer is the ultimate revolution because it hands the means of production of so many things to individuals who are able to produce, ad infinitum, materials of every nature.

An economic society that is unable to grasp this will bicker and fight til the end over “copyrighted” materials that are not being paid for when they are completely blind to the fact that they are competing with an enormous supply of free content.

Software will continue to replace analog services and for analong services to be profitable, they must continue to address needs that software does not or, even better, cannot meet.
